No, but read thru this section to find alternate methods for creating DVD-A's that will play in the TL. There are conversion utilities to transfer wma to wav which can then be burned (max of 99 tracks pere DVD-A).

Actually, if you use DVDA Solo you can rip directly from your cds to dvda and have 9 groups with 99 songs each giving you 891 songs per dvda. Converting from wma to dvda is not a prefered method because the wma files are not lossless like an original cd.

On the demonstration DVD A disc, it specifically says the reason they won't play, is the video information that's attached

Almost, you still have to make it a DVDA format, DVD Audio Solo will do that for you, that is, convert either wav or cds to dvda format and burn it for you or create an iso file that you can burn using another program ( I use NERO).

If you burn more than 1 group of 99 songs, our TL will only display the first group. To get it to read the other groups just hold down the SCAN and RPT buttons for a couple seconds and the next group will display.

How did you convert to wav? Did you rip using DVD Solo? I would use DVD Solo to rip files directly from cds.
I also found burning with DVD Solo gives me mixed results but if you use DVD Solo to create a DVD Audio iso file and use Nero it will work everytime.

Converting mp3 to wavs then to dvda format will not give you the best results sonically and will create a compatibility challenge due to all the transcoding. You're much better off taking your music from your cds, it's in a lossless format and will give you the best results.

The TL has amazing dynamic range for a stock car audio system and playing a compressed mp3 thru it is a poor choice of music source.

You can convert mp3 to wav to DVD-A format in 2 channel audio. To get 5.1 surround sound audio (6 channel), you will need to use software like DVD Solo or one of Adobeman's free programs.

Comparing mp3s to DVD-A is like comparing a 45 vinyl to a CD, MP3s are compressed to roughly 10 times their original size by removing data, DVD-A is about 5-8 times larger than a standard CD track because theyre from (usually) the original 24 bit masters (cd quality is reduced to 16 bits so it can fit on a 650 mb CD) and are not compressed, also called Lossless Audio.

DVD-A are also usually remastered to 6 channels giving you a true surround feeling.
