I'm interested in this also. Would this work like Dom's unit but much cheaper?

 

This is more for having one source (Dvd player/back up cam/tv tuner) split out to more than one monitor... Like say you have 5 screens in your car, and you use a regular splitter for all the videos, its going to downgrade the quality of the video. This amplifies the video signal so that the signal isnt weaken'd due to so many splits.

I think you guys are looking for a switch that lets you switch multiple inputs going into monitor (your nav) you would still need a unit such as Dom's to let you have that video input function.

 

Are there any options cheaper than Dom's? I've read lots and lots of posts about the good quality of his, but I'm trying to save some cash at the same time.

 

No this will not allow videos to play. This jus "amplifies" the singal. You will need Doms unit, or do a carpc conversion. Dom has a deal right now for a PNP unit for 200 on the BM sponsored sales section

 

For plug and play you will not find anything cheaper that has the same quality of dom's unit. Don't be cheap just save and get something of great quality...
