I've had my car for 2 months now. I have these wires in my center console. Its obviously aftermarket... but I'm not sure what these are for.

Also - there is an aux power switch on the left of my dash. It also looks aftermarket.

What do you guys think?

From the looks of it you have an a/v connection system from the previos owner....just get a media player hard drive and a Ipod and your set to go......im guessing you also have a a/v switch also..

 

while you're at it wrap that ipod cable with some electrical tape. Looks like the insulation on that wire has seen better days.

A little more investigation shows that the iPod cord has "isimple" written on it. I've seen this on the forums, but I dont know how to use it. I plugged my ipod in, and didnt hear anything.

I'll google around later tonight... but if you guys have any links handy to the hardware I'd need, that would be helpful.
