Want to add DVD....Has anyone used the NeoCarAudio iPod adapter???
I'm planning to do 2 things with my 2005 Acura TL.
The first thing I want to do is add DVD to the navigation screen. I've seen many people talk about what they've done. Right now I'm leaning towards purchasing a 1/2 DIN unit and placing it in the top bin (with door attached). It looks messy to perform successfully, but I love the idea of being able to hide the DVD and have easy access to the DVD player while driving.
The second thing I want to do is add an I-pod to the audio system. I went to the Acura (Pohanka Acura - Chantilly, VA) dealership and the service deparment suggested against using the Acura adapter. They instead suggested I use the NeoCarAudio I-pod adapter, which allows control via the I-Pod and the radio at the same time. The unit costs $199 direct from www.neocaraudio.
I've heard many people talk about the TVandNAV2GO system for the video inputs to the navigation system and there are a few audio options that have been discussed. The reason I'm asking if anyone has used the NeoCarAudio adapter is because it also comes with an AUX port on it that could be used for the DVD audio and I'd like to see if anyone else has used this setup and what they think of it. I'm also curious if anyone knows if the audio on the NeoCarAudio adapter uses 5.1.
From what I can tell, I would need to purchase a 1/2 Din DVD player, the NeoCarAudo I-pod adapter, and the TVandNAV2GO system.
Any input, suggestions, alternatives, are appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

3G TL Audio & Electronics FAQ
One suggestion, go USA Spec PA11-HON2y for iPod. It's cheaper than the Neo and seems like it does the same thing. FYI, our radios does not display text.
I know there is at least one thread that has someone (slimmyjimmy/jmbnova (?)) with a half DIN DVD player in the first compartment. Try a search.
Good luck!
