Verizon's Samsung SCH-i730 compatible?

i730 Compatibility and a Suggestion
Your right, when call waiting you can switch to a call, but not back (or at least I don't know how). The phone is great. I checked CNET's rating and it rates the i730 very high still after almost a year in service. I have found that the hands-free system in the car works well with the only complaint that the connection sometimes suddenly shuts down.
If your listening Acura, I do wish that Acura would issue a firmware patch periodically to address some of the needed updates. For instance, it could be something that the dealer could use to update the car systems when taken in for service at no cost and in that way keep folks up to date - and improve customer satisfaction. For instance, update the phone compatibility, update radio system functionality (e.g., iPod display, or Nav system functions - not tie it to maps). This might help folks to overcome their dissatisfaction with the rattles we seem to get and other nusance items.

i730 disconnects on incoming calls
I've been using my i730 in a 2006 TL for over a year.
I've had a sporadic issue where I take an inbound call, and the person can hear my car radio and not me, but I do not hear them at all. The frequency has increased dramatically.
I have not found a pattern (whether caller is cell, same carrier, land line, etc.), but it is very frustrating.
Has anyone seen this?
Thanks.

i have a samsung as well and my fone did not work at all, i first took it to the dealer and they said the car was fine since other fones would connect without problem, so i took it to a verizon wireless tech. he told me samsungs and acuras do not have a history of working well together. he told me that lg and motorola were the best for an acura

Short answer: pairing is the same
Pairing is the same as with other devices.
I borrowed a blackberry from work and the blue tooth worked perfectly.
I have come to the conclusion that the issue is compatibility between the i730 and the Acura's bluetooth. It has worked for me for the past 14 moths - with the exception of the disconnect on inbound calls.

I used to have an i730 and it worked fine, but no battery status or signal strength by default. However, there is software you can install that will get the signal strength to show up. It's been awhile so I don't remember the name of the software, but it definitely worked (I will look and see if I can find it if you're interested). However, I seem to remember it causing some issues with the Voice Signals software...

Here's the link to the software:

i760 works fine except...
...the volume on the phone determines the volume of handsfree link. So if you get in the car and the phone is in your pocket you have to take it out and adjust- minor hassle. I do see the battery strength and signal info on the dash unlike some- not sure why but it may have to do with the version of Win Mobile 6 that came with your phone.
