Using Siri in my TL w/iPhone 5??

Hey guys, I searched a bit and found old threads on the 4 and 4s but no definite answer. How is Siri working for you guys? When im paired with my HFL and hold the home button, Siri will pop up but nothing happens, no sound or flashing microphone icon. It just hangs there until I press home or somewhere else on the screen to exit, then it goes back to the music. Theres the little bluetooth logo to the right of the microphone and when I tap that, it gives me the option of iPhone or HFL. Its set on iphone but wont change to HFL. In any case no audio comes out of either car or phone.

I use my phone to listen to music as well, but not with the headphone jack. I use a device that plugs into the charging port of the phone (using a 30 pin adapter) and on the other end has a 12v charger and an aux out cord.
Its this but with an aux out also (http://www.frys.com/product/6868946?...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG)

Whether Im plugged in, or listening to music has no effect on this problem, so Im guessing its something with the HFL, maybe the phone is confused and trying to send audio to the car which isnt happening on our old ass HFL systems. Every once in a while I can get siri to work, and audio comes out of the phone, which Im fine with. Its seems if I can ever get it to work its when I just get into the car. The bluetooth is paired, but maybe it isnt all the way linked yet. I dunno? Thanks in advance guys.

Did you ever figure out how to get it working? I have seen the exact behavior you described.

I find the HFL much more flakey in general with iPhone 5/iOS 6x, than iPhone 4/iOS 5x. Not sure if it's hardware or software to blame, though.

Nope, no luck... Siri is pretty much useless anyway. But still it would be nice to be able to use it to send quick texts while im driving.

OK, thanks for the update. Yeah, I don't use Siri much either...mainly would like to have her read my texts, and reply.

I finally figure this out guys. For '13 TL with Nav/Tech:

In phone setup (under Cellular phone menu after pressing the phone button), there is an auto transfer setting (phone to auto transfer to HFL or "Hands Free Link"). Turn this on. Any BT/Siri prompt from the phone will auto play through the speakers. Hope this helps. Also as an added bonus, when you dial from your phone - it actually "automatically transfers". Who would have thought it was this easy?
