Using cursor to a point on the map and then want to go there...is it possible?

I use my Navi a lot just to explore parts of NJ I haven't been to before. I saw a road that just ends by the ocean without any town names or icons on the map. I thought it would be cool to move my cursor there and press it to see what was there. It comes up with a street address but not sure I can now set my navi to calc a route to that spot. Is that possible?

I can remember the street address and just go back and plug that in to calc a route there but wanted to see if the navi will do that for me by just using the cursor, moving it to a spot and then calc a route there.

Yes. You could point it then map your direction. Try it in your next ride...

I'm not sure how to do that. Yes it shows me the address of the place I set my cursor to and push down on it to get the address but would like be able to say "go there" type of command. I can remember the address and enter it manually but would be great to just go there once you get the address by pushing down on the cursor button.

I'm not sure if the US navi works the same as the Canadian, but when I scroll to a location and then push the button in, the address comes up, push the button again and the screen comes up asking easy route/direct route etc...

I know I've done this, but I don't remember exactly how. I think DonKron has the right idea. I knew the general area of my destination so I scrolled the crosshairs to that area and then had it calculate a route there.

Did I miss your question or ...?

If I move my cursor to somewhere on the map, I could hit it then the Navi will display that location's info.

I would hit it again, the Navi will ask me if I want to redirect to that location.

I could hit again, then Navi will start to calculate then display the map for me.

As for the voice command,

Yes, it was hitting the button again once the address pops up that will bring up the screen to say ok to go there.

Didn't realize you have to repeat the function...
