Disable HFL?

Is it possible to disable HFL while driving prior to making a call?

I am aware of the "transfer" command allowing me to transfer the call to my handset, but at times I'd like to initiate call and speak from my handset. If I dial directly from the handset now, there is a big delay before the call is connected which is frustrating to those I am calling. ("Hello? Are you there?") I have resorted to puling over and turning of the car (thus disabling bluetooth) to make a call. There has to be a better way...

It won't let me disconnect Bluetooth connection if active. I've got a SE T637 and the only way to shut down Bluetooth is if the phone doesn't register a connection.

Any other ideas?

Can you just dial and call from the phone or does the HFL automatically take over?

You can dial directly from the handset but there is major lag time between when I hit "send" to when I can hear the person I've called. By the time I hear anything in my handset, the person I've called has already answered and is in the "hello, are you there?" stage of the conversation. Not usually a big deal, but bad for business calls.

Just like you have the T637 and have not experienced this problem. As soon as I hit the Send button on the phone, I issue the Transfer command and the call is transfered to HFL before it's picked up almost every time.

By issuing the Transfer command, do you mean the verbal command?

I have used the transfer verbal command and it has worked quickly and effectively each time.
