Unable to find place to input radio code

I got my car back from the shop, apparently they disconnected the battery. When I got in and started, I noticed an input screen asking for a code. (which one I wasn't sure) so I entered the nav code, and the nav works. Unfortunately my stereo doesnt work because I can't find a way to input the radio code.

I have the radio code, just can't bring up the screen to input this code. I disconnected the neg battery cable again, and went throught the same thing. I'm on my 4th error. ( I believe I have 10 tries?)

If anyone knows how I can input my radio code, I would really appreciate. Driving home in the morning after working 12 hours nights gets a little boring. I like to crank up some Van Halen ( Mean Street) when I start to doze off.

2005 TL w/nav

Thanks guys.

This is for an 2007 TL but should be the same for you too.
The radio code is inputted from the 1-6 button (the actual buttons you use to change CD and stuff). There should be a display next to your clock that will have an astrik come on everytime you push a button. i don't think there is an enter button. It should just work after you push in all the digits.
The one on the navi screen with then number pad is for your navi code. Hope this helps. gl

Use the 1-6 buttons for the changer/radio

If you also have navi, there is a different code. That one will appear in the navi screen and you use the touchpad to input the numbers.

Tell us you got it done.

you might know this but i saw it happen the other day. if you don't turn on the power for the radio, inputting the code will not work.. if the navi already works. this might be your problem...

Thanks. So what your saying is I can input the 5 digit code using the 1-6 buttons?

One of the code numbers I believe (I'm at work right now) is a 7.

I did hold in the 1&6 button at the same time yesterday and that simply generates an error.

And well it should have

If it requested a 7 then that's the Navi Code you are after and it goes on the touch screen as described above. Radio codes are digits 1-6.

Any and all numbers for the codes are tapped one at a time. Good luck.

yup. If there is a 7, then its probably the navi code.
my navi code is 4 digits. my radio code is 5 digits. once again, this is a 07 TL.
how many digits does your code have?

I just checked the radio code, it's a 5 digit all numbers 6 or below.

Anyway, back to my original question. How do I bring up the screen to input this said code.

I have already generated 6 error codes and am getting nervous.

If you could walk me through the process, that would be awesome.

All I see right now is the word "CODE" Actually, the letters CO. When I start pressing buttons, it completes the word CODE, and then gives an error message "error5" (the number increases as I goof up.)

Enter in some numbers until you hear it beep and tell you that you have made an error. After that, it is reset and you can enter in the code from the beginning.

The furst number should bring up the C second O third D and fourth digit should bring up the E. After that, push the last button and it should beep and tell you that you've entered it correct.

IF you enter in the code wrong too many times, it will make you have the car running for a whole hour (non-stop) to be able to try and re enter the code

Hope this helps

KShuckDeve is totally right!, its a 5 digits code, so C-O-D-E + the fifth one...for me its a 3 error chances, if you reach the 3rd error, disconnect the battery for 5-10min. AND TRY AGAIN! With the right CODE!

Concentrate, you must be mixing between navi and Hunit code....good luck!
