Turn off Navi display?

Ok, is there a way to do this manually? I know if you don't hit "OK" when it is first turned on the screen doesn't come on. I kinda like this look sometimes cause I keep my dash on Max Brightness and the Navi screen is just too bright at night. So... is there a way to turn off the screen after it has been on? Let me know.

I don't remember the exact sequence. But, hit the menu button. Then, on one of the setup screens, it should say 'Display Mode' with options for Day, Night, Off, Etc. Hit the off button and that will turn it off until you use the touch screen or hit one of the buttons again.

Hope that helps.
