Searches led to useless info. Sorry if this has been covered before.

My wife left the ignition on in our 06 TL/Navi running 2012 map software and ran the battery dead.. ..When I charged the battery and booted the system up, the trip computer option in the navi system disappeared....anybody else had this issue before? I thought maybe it would come back after I filled up, but no. I don't want to have to do another battery disconnect or reboot since I live very rural and to accomplish the GPS up link I have to drive a few miles to get away from the heavy trees....

The trip computer on the HUD still works though....odd...

 

Sounds like you had a navi hack prior.... Only way to get back, is to create the files again. There are numerous threads on it.

You got a Heads Up Display??!!!! I think you are talking about the MID the LED display located in the tachometer?

 

This system has never been hacked.

did you buy the car used? if so, the previous owner hacked it. the hack stays even though a new Navi disc is used, its only when you disconnect the battery where it causes the Navi to reload the software from the Disc, which will overwrite what's stored in memory, the navi hack.

the only way to have the Trip computer in the Navi is to hack it, it is not something that comes from factory or any version of Navi Disc

 

That is very odd since this in not the first time the batt has been disconnected....

 

06 did not have trip computer. it was hacked.

 

Just went through all the trauma of doing the "hack" and apparently it is not compatible with the 2012 ver 3.B0 disk....it wont work :pouty:

 

That is correct, perhaps go back to your original disc and reload the hacked disc and then switch out? Still dont think it will work, but its worth a try.

 

I tried.. The old disk is a 3.3C. I cant find ANY of the needed BIN files.. the posted 3.6 and 3.7 hacks dont work with either disks BIN files.

 

So you do not have the hacked install disc that works with your 3.3 version? whats more important to you the trip computer or updated maps?

 

Hell, I didnt know the bitch was hacked till this morning. When we bought the car, there was no disk in the navi. We bought a very old one dirt cheap to make sure the navi worked. When it did, we got the newer disk for the upgraded maps. Who knew it was hacked???? LOLOLO WTF?? So no I dont have the original hack disk. I just have an old map disk and a brand spanking new map disk. We honestly use the trip computer far more than the GPS. It is obvious the old hacks work with the newer disks, the key is having the right BIN file.

 

The hack for the 3.8, 3.9 disk will work for the new 3.B0. My navi was previously hacked for my 3.9 disc and when i upgraded, my disc, the same hack worked.

 

+1 on hack...you will have to redo it....

I have over 12 hours tied up into this and over 10 worthless dvd's with nothing to show for it but a throbbing headache.

Where is the hack for 3.8? I thought I had every hack thread memorized.

On another note. I hate the search function on this site.....it is worthless. People choose to put the most worthless bullshit in their signatures, and my search finds every thread the bastards post in.....

 

search using google and just include acurazine in the search. this sites search function is useless

It's hard when your search word is too short for even adanced options. Like when looking for info on weather the tpms sensors can be swapped to aftermarket wheels....can't find a frikkin thread on it.... Spent 30 min searching in advanced options...Still don't have an answer and don't want to look stupid....lol.

I totally agree about the garage though!!! I use it all te time!!! However, when you have ba luck like me, you ask questions that haven't been deemed "garage worthy".

Im glad I never got this working....wife left the key on AGAIN!!!!! Apparently she has a gossip problem. She pulls into the garage while gossiping on her cell, kicks my kids out of the car, and finishes her convo privately with the radio and blower on.....then never thinks to turn the shit off when she gets off the phone.....

 

I feel ya. Battery disconnected, now hack gone I previously did and of course I can't fint hack disc. Burning a few new ones but so messy on here trying to find files again, hasn't worked. Tired of the hassle. 3.9 Disc. **Blah**
