anyone who has a v1 especially when hardwired knows it can be annoying going off all the time

I bought one of these off ebay it has a stealth mute button so you can put your v1 up by your rear view then tuck the button wherever

ive had it in all my vehicles since i saw them on ebay it works great

how does it work since v1 has no mute option? does it just mute in same manner as hitting the toggle?

 

Yes. its just like the toggle. The benefit of having the stealth module is that the main screen doesnt light up.

btw.. i dont get the need for the conceal display? unless i guess you live in VA or DC where its illegal to have one, but than you would be better with STI that is completely undetectable.

 

^concealed display is nice because you can put the v1 in dark mode and use the concealed display instead. you can also install the display anywhere you want so only you can see it.

also helpful bc people won't be trailing you and using YOUR radar detector to their advantage (since they won't be able to see it lit up in your car)

 

that seller also has just a mute cord too for those who are already hardwire in. i just ordered one. this should now make the v1 a bit quieter although i dont find it as bad as some people say.
