So I spoke to Wendy in an email today and she stated it would be 2 weeks till she gets the camera everyone is using back in stock. I have a qustion about the license plate camera things. They are comparably prices to Wendys unit. I found this page that says that CCD cameras are higher quality than CMOS cameras like Wendys. I don't know the difference do you guys have any ideas or opionions about these license plate cameras? They even had a picture of a TL with it on. I know I can get it cheaper from ebay so don't tell me that.

I have installed the same type of license plate camera (looks identical to the picture) and found it works fine. It was easy to install and doesn't look to bad. I was considering spraying the frame black to be less obvious, but I ran out of time on the install of Dom's module. If you do a search you'll find another member with the same camera and they posted both day and night pictures (I think).

I think those cameras work fine and install very easy...however I would worry about theft more than anything. I like wendy's cams because they remain for the most part out of site unless you are really looking for it. these kinda stare you right in the face so to speak and IMO easily attract attention. The video quailty from what I hear is just fine...it's just the security issue that you should worry about. Maybe if you paint it black like virtual said, it won't attract so much attention. What's nice about them is you can easily adjust the angle that the camera is pointing because the housing swivels.
