Subwoofer enclosure

Has anyone had an experience with the Wicked C.A.S. custom subwoofer enclosures?

http://www.wickedcas.com/product.php...&cat=12&page=1

They look pretty nice, but I am curious how they perform.

Thanks!!

I got a very similar box from a vendor ebay who goes by "uncald4" on acurazine. I am running a 10 inch alpine type R. It is awesome and I still have my trunk space. Unless you're doing competitions or something there is no need to have more than one sub. People think I have 2 12's in my car when they hear it.

I try to let this stuff go but I just can't.

2 subs are not just for "competitions". 2 subs will have less distortion because they will require less power and will remain in a more linear excursion range. People run 2 subs for sound quality and people run 2 subs for more output. Basically, 2 subs will sound better and get louder than one identical sub in the same type of enclosure. The bigger the better in many cases.

Uncald4 would not answer the simplest of questions such as what is the tuning frequency and what is the volume of the enclosure. This is like buying a car but the salesman won't tell you what engine you're getting. I'm sure some of his enclosures sound fine but some are undersized for the sub that's used. I've honestly never heard of a vendor not answering those questions.

The enclosure from Wicked C.A.S. is approximately 1.1. cu ft, which I think will work well with my Hertz High Energy 12" sub. Any thoughts?

I have used the Wicked CAS enclosure in my last 2 TL's. I used it with a JL 12w6v2 sub, the sub it was designed around. I have nothing but good things to say about it. The only flaw would be cosmetic as the carpet was not an exact match but its close so I never bothered getting it changed. Be sure to mount it properly. I did not the second time around and I noticed a crack in it from sliding around.

Here's another option http://www.audiointegrations.net/cat...75/8253904.htm.
Good luck!

The audio integrations enclosure looks nice too.
What is the proper way to mount the enclosure?

Hey guys

I bought one of these enclosures from uncald4. However there is no hole in the enclosure to bolt it to the vehicle and my audioshop guy doesn't want to try drilling a whole as its fiberglass and may spider.

How did others mount this enclosure to their tl ?
