I've read several threads on replacing speakers and amps. I've learned about ANC and subwoofer feedback, etc...

What I haven't found is the specs on the stock system (07 Type S (nav 5.1):

1) What is the impedance & wattage on the stock sub amp?
2) What is the impedance & wattage on the stock amp driving the door speakers?
3) Are there step-by-step instructions for removing the rear deck?

I'm considering a DYI sub upgrade.

Stock Sub is at 2 Ohms 40Watts

The front door speakers are at 2 Ohms... because they are bridged with the tweeters... 10 Watts on the tweeters and 20 Wats on the doors....

The rears are at 4 Ohms - 20 wats each...

The Center speaker is at 4 Ohms - 15 watts...

This is all by memory ... I could be off +/- 5 Watts on each...

the Rear Deck Removal...
1. Remove rear bottom cushion
2. Remove rear seat back
3. Remove C-Pilar Panels
4. Remove Rear Deck

I do it in less than 10 minutes... but you might take 30 minutes... since it's your first time... all the information is on this forum...
