Stereo Error

I just got my car back from the shop, does anybody know where i can find the code for the stereo system, although i entered the wrong code too many times i think its locked up, do i have to take the car to the dealership?

You should have received a card with the stereo and NAVI code, next to the manuals. You should take the car to the dealer in case you have not received that card.

Sit in the driver's seat
Open the glove box door
Look at the part you can see that goes from the door into the dashboard
There should be a little sticker there with the code on it

Leave the radio on for one hour to reset it

If you entered the code three times incorrectly, you must then turn the ignition to the on position and leave it there for about an hour. It will then reset itself to allow you to enter the security code. But you must have the security to get your system fully operational again....

I found the number, but the system is locked is there anything i can do to avoid going to the dealer????

Turn the key to the accessory position and leave the radio on for one hour. It will then reset and allow you to enter the code.

Page 140 of the Owner's Manual, and also stated in two postings above.

Did you sign up for the Acura Owners Link?? If you did you will find it there since you enter the VIN # of the car. Go to "My Profile" and you will see info regarding your car. All the info appears from the VIN#.
