The ID's are known for really good mid-bass for their price range.

4 sundown sa 8's or even 4 alpine type r 8's would've been awesome. Cost some coin, though.

4 of those with 200-250w each would sound awesome.

Powerbass makes decent entry level amps. never heard their mids, though.

ive heard the 8" Type r in the alpine demo camaro and those things are nice. The Alpine imprint is a nice unit for the price. ive used them on a few cars ive done and was surprised with the end result, there by no means on the Level of a BitOne but in its same respect a great OEM integration device.

I like.

Should sound better and get far louder at less power than any 8" mentioned. Why send that 8" 1,000w when you can send this super efficient 15" 300 watts and get more output.

Nah, 2 completely different things. In IB, the sub(s) use the trunk itself as an enclosure.

It looks like it will work great. .44qts, a low 144g mms, and high efficiency, it should sound great with especially quick transients. Xmax is 16mm, but do you know the total mechanical excursion limit? The lower qts is especially good if you're using two of them.

Sounds like you'd need 3-4 to get any SPL out of them at all at those levels and with that xmax right?

OP- I'd go with a 10" in a small sealed box on the side(s) of our trunk. Search the first few pages and you'll see them and where to buy them. VERY trunk space friendly and will sound 10x better than a small 8" in the rear deck

2 would probably be fine. Two 15s barely have to move to produce decent SPL. I have no idea what the total excursion is but I would guess 20mm or more.

I have a feeling we're going to see a new thread from the OP in a few weeks about replacing the 8" with a larger sub.

16mm of xmax and that much efficiency should lead to some decent spl.

With that much motor strength, it should get very loud in a ported enclosure.

I'm not sure why you asked for advice, you did exactly what you wanted despite other recommendations. You could've done a single 15" for less money and saved more trunk space than the 8" in a box.

You could've done a 10 or 12" in one of the corner boxes and saved space.

I honestly hope you're satisfied with your new setup but output is not going to be that great.

i jus wanted opinions, u guys are far more into the loud stuff then i am these days,i left the car audio scence about 7 years ago so gimmi a break here, lol i know u guys know ur stuff, thats why i asked, just to get an idea, i dont want all those 10" and 12" i wanna save as much space as i can cause i didnt even want to get a box but too much hassle riggin the back dash enclosing and whatever mods to do that, thats just the smallest one i could find. what do u mean corner boxes? a 10" in a corner box would save more space then that jl enclosure? where is this? and slow down guys, have u ever heard this 8" jl in this small enclosure? if not then u never know, but ok ok ok, if there is such a thing as a 10" or 12" smaller im sure i will upgrade lol

Thats why i said go IB

You'll retain 99.9% of your trunk space. If you wanna save even more space, get tiny amps you can install under the seats.

IB (infinite baffle):
- Hardly any space taken up and you can use 2 15's if you wanted.
- Small power requirements
- Easy install
- Cheap

Sealed Box in Corner of Trunk:
- Less space than IB.
- Still plenty of output for most users
- Found Here: http://wickedcas.com/product.php?pro...&cat=12&page=1 and http://www.audiointegrations.net/cat...75/8253904.htm. Or like this: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/new-custom-sub-enclosure-pics-824695/

All > 8"w3. Though these are more expensive, it'll actually be cheaper instead of redoing the system....see you in 2 months!

ok quick question, the 10w3v3 has a 2ohm and 4ohm but both same wattage. which one is more efficient? i mean which ohm load is better for the amp?

I use one of Travis' enclosures and recommend it:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Custo...fAudioQ5fVideo

I'm running a 10W3V3 in this enclosure (the 10" enclosure) and I have the 4 ohm version. In general the higher the speaker impedance the easier it is for your amp to drive the speaker; the lower the speaker impedance the louder or more output the speaker will produce (as long as the amp can drive the load).

No problem jdaddy. If you go with the side box, I'd definitely go with something other than a w3. Plenty of very nice 10's or 12's that will get plenty loud and sound damn good. I would have went that route first.
