I had all mine replaced in my 04TL. I have Polk audio 5.25" db5251 components installed all around. All I did was buy a 4 speaker brackets on eBay for $13 and thy sound amazing, no rattle, no static, no distortion. They getting 100rms watts
each. Just know that most after market speaker are 4 ohm so if you have a Bose head unit, they will not play with ur Bose radio. Also, you will have a very hard time trying to find a subwoofer to fit in that stock location, most 8" subs are too small and the 10" sub is too big. You're better off going with a subwoofer and box. I did my entire audio system over the the stock speakers have a funny shape to them so you either have to mod after market speakers to fit or get a speaker bracket.

I am replacing mine right now. I have already finished the passenger side. I put in Alpine spx17 pro 6.5 inch in the front and rear. I had to cut the hole to make it bigger in the doors, I also used 3/4 inch MDF as a bracket between the speaker and the door panel. I replaced the wiring and that was a pain in the ass! you have clips between the doors and I had to drill a hole through a none used portion of the clip. the tweeter was basicly a drop in, only needed miner modificatons and wiring took no time at all. I replaced the center with a S35 Boston caustics. I have two MTX T9500 15's for the trunk. should be done after this weekend!!
