Speaker system 05 TL

When I was test driving the car - the salesperson said something about not being able to blow the speakers. To make his point he turned up the speakers really loud. Is this true? I thought I heard some crackling.

Sometimes I get some "static/crackling" sound on the speakers and I'm currently trying to figure out if its the mp3 quality on my IPOD (I use cassette adapter) or only certain songs. I've tried with the demo DVD-A disc and haven't heard anything.

On a side note - the top speaker (tweeter?) on the driver side dash is loose. Every now and then I have to push it back in. This is where I hear most of the crackling.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

There ALWAYS a way to blow a speaker. There's no indestructible speaker.

That sales guy is stupid or just my be he is the typical salesman. Tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to buy the product. The speaker wires could be loose get them to replace it.
