Sound system problem

It seems that when I play DVD-A discs, I get static from all of the speakers. It only happens with DVD-A.

Obviously, I'm taking the car in to be fixed, but has anyone else seen this?

Thanks,

Andy

I've had no problems with DVD-A discs. They sound great in my car!

getting unit replaced

I had the changer mechanism go out on mine, and a new unit is on order. Never had any sound problems though.

This has allowed me to actually try out the tape player... put some old mix tape in the other day I hadn't listened to in years, sounded really good for a cassette.

Guess that's why they kept a tape player in the car...for backup.

see if you can get your old radio back (after they install the new one)

you may use it in your bedroom with an adapter!

Say what???

If it was working right in the first place he wouldn't be getting it replaced, so why would he want it back to put in his room?

Not that they'd give him back the unit. At $1400, they'll send it into a repair depot, have it fixed, and then recycle it as a remanufactured repair part.

I am certain there will be zero chance I would get that part.

Besides, I spend so much damn time in my car, bringing pieces of it into my house would start to get people worried about me!
