My w900i used to work fine with the TL... but recently it has started to transfer calls to the phone instead of working with the car system. The phone is paired and lists the handsfree link and all, so it seems okay.

It goes like this...

"call my girlfriend"

-do you want to call "my girlfriend" ?

"yes"

-calling...

(phone says "transferred to phone") - at this point i have to talk on the phone, car system is active and icon is up but call is on the handset only.

This is driving me nuts! If I receive a call in the car, the handsfree works fine. Help!

 

same goes for my w810i, s710a worked fine before i switched...

 

Might be a firmware issue like jaymd123 pointed out. Can you upgrade/downgrade the firmware?

Try repairing the phone?

 

Same thing with my W600i after I updated the phone software using the Update Services application on the S-E website. Spent an hour on the phone with their tech support and tried a few things including Master Reset. Nothing worked and they advised to either return the phone to them for service or get my service provider to swap with another phone.
BTW my S-E T637 works fine, so it is definitely the phone.

 

I switched to a k750i with the latest SE firmware... same problem.... it's SE's firmware, something they updated has ruined HFL! What can we do?

 

Whats with this!? I thought I was the only one in VA with a w900!

 

It's a pretty rare phone. In fact I am selling mine, I think it's a bit too big for me :[ Otherwise I love it.

 

Yeah i recently updated my W600i and the same problem occured.... ahhhhh.... y....

cant get a new phone just yet... hope the next update comes fast and fixes it

 

As a new W600i users, I'm having the same problems. How often does S/E release firmware updates? Is it worth waiting to see if the next one fixes the problem or should I return the phone? (I really like it, tho).

I did it to my W600i and works with the HFL some changes tho read everything.

and idk if it will work with the other sony phones tho.. someone wanna try?

 

Yeah, I abandoned my SE because of this. It's sad that they can release buggy firmware like this. Also, the last time they released firmware for the w600i was early 2005 so don't cross your fingers for a "quick" update!
