Hearsay?

Salesmen at acura told me to never put my phone on the passenger seat.. Radio waves disrupt the seats ability to determine whether or not to auto disable the airbags and could lead to injury of a child or someone light enough to set off the auto disarm fucntion...

If it gets disrupted it just says the passenger airbag is disengaged on the consoile and you have to go to the dealer to get it reset..

V710 fits nicely in the top part of the center armrest. I snaked just enough of the charger cord from the bottom compartment via the little hole on the side works great.

I chose other because it really depends on how long of a drive I have. If it's a short trip (less than about 15 minutes), the phone stays in my shirt pocket (if I have one) or pants/shorts pocket. If the trips is likely to take 30 minutes or more, it gets plugged into the charger and either in the cup holder or compartment under the stereo. I need to take the TL into the dealer because I have not been able to plug anything into the power outlet in the armrest console compartment. Regardless, I try to have the phone somewhat handy in case signal strength is an issue.

I've got the Acura ashtray/coinholder in the front cupholder and I lay down the 710 in the rear cupholder.

The dashboard vacu-door compartments are too deep and those doors look a bit dainty. Just try removing the phone when the car is in park.

The upper and lower armrests lack indentation, so the phone just slides all over the interior banging and rattling.

Now that I've got the Bluetooth running, eventually I'll trust the technology to the point where I'll leave the phone in the briefcase and that will be that. Well, doesn't help much when you get voicemail and no indicator on the TL's HFL screen

Agreed! First phone that I've owned in a long time that doesn't provide an indicator of voicemail from the outside.

Nokia 6820 plugged into DC supply in top of center console - been working great as long as I remember to shut it off when I am parked. Anyone know if there's a way to control the 6820 like an auto off or when DC interupted, it turns off?
