Sirius Satellite on TL type S 08
I just bought my 08 TL type S and already had sirius satellite from my previous car.
I was wondering if anybody have installed one before on an acura.
1. Good way to hide the wires from the device all the way to the back windshield for the antenna?
2. Good spot to mount the device?
Just want to hear options....thanks

i was in the same boat as you when i bought my tl, and after the 3 month freebe, i just kept it...you can have xm for 77 bucks a year....besides, in a few months or soo, they will be one, so putting in extra equipment will be a waist....
on another note, i have seen some pics of setups that looked pretty slick, one guy has his controller mounted right where the bottom flip up compartment is under the tape deck...looked pretty cool...

Did this install on my 07 Type-S and works great. Transfered Sirus from my other car. For me it was worth the mony. Never liked XM.

Full of water...
I have XM, but the programming does kinda sucks. I have wanted to make the switch to Sirius but will probably wait to see what happens with the merger. It could change nothing, or it could change EVERYTHING, we will see.
If i was you i would probably wait...but with a lifetime membership it may be worth it to convert now. Decisions, decisions...

I've read that existing XM equipment will NOT be compatible with the Sirius signal after the merger. In other words, current Sirius channels will still be beamed over Sirius satellites after the merger, and the XM hardware is incapable of decoding the signal.
That said, I've ALSO read that after the merger there's a potential for some of the most popular Sirius channels to be simulcast over the XM birds in which case we could get them in our car. If that were to include Howard Stern I'll be a happy guy...

Wrong assumption-equipment will work
The merger promises no equipment will be obsolete. Merger opponents are spreading rumors . www.siriusmerger.com
"We guarantee no radio will become obsolete. Your current radio will continue to provide you with the programming you enjoy, whether you keep your current service or change to a new subscription plan. "

I don't know if it's not happening ever, but as of yesterday it was still a go. Both companies announced they would extend the merger agreement on a rolling bi-weekly basis starting May 15th.
