Security

So just because someone stole the emblems off my car RIGHT IN MY DRIVEWAY and because my good for nothing 150 pound rottweiller seems to had been in a dream world, im thinking of upgrading my car alarm system. Now i know and never really have been a big fan of car alarms, because i know if they really want your car they're just gonna flatbed the damn thing if they wanted it bad enough. But anyway, so i like i said i was thinking of upgrading my system. I remember the old days ...."protected by viper ... stand back" lol that shyt was hot back in the day...but i dont want to go to that extreme i mean i do live in a pretty decent area and didnt want to startle the old lady next door going to get her mail as she walks by my car...but i do want something that is extremely sensitive as if someone was to attempt even trying to pull the door handle, touch the glass, people hitting my bumper while attempting to parallel park type sentive is what im looking for. Anyone have any suggestions as to a good car alarm system besides me getting another rottweiller and leaving him INSIDE my car.. let me know what you guys and gals think.. and what systems do you have on your cars to protect them....leaving shotgun next to my pillow not an option...well......maybe....

Have one outside my front door but doesnt cover the driveway. Are the systems you guys requested super sensitive? If you could please let me know what you guys paid for your systems

Build walls on three sides of your driveway and put a big door so your car can get in. Add a roof to keep your baby dry. Best home alarm ever.

For your situation you may want to get a proximity sensor to go along with whatever alarm you get put in. This way when they try to steal something on the outside the prox sensor will tell them to step the f away. (not literally)

Edit: I just read your whole post. If you don't want something sensitive then definitely don't go with a prox sensor. Scratch my idea

+1, We havent had any problems ever since we got cameras. But having an alarm set to the most sensitive is probably a bad idea. It will just keep going off all the time and eventually people will just ignore it or want to mess up your car because of how annoying it is lol.

So by doing some research and you guy's opinions heres what ive come up with.

What i would like to get are these features:

1) Proximity Sensors...but ill need a system that would allow me to disable the proximity sensors, as i work in times square i need to be able to shut down the proximity sensors, but still have the car protected, because to many truck deliveries, might set off the alarm, plus id have the security guys outside my building watchin my car.

2) Voice alert....warning dirty rats to keep their distance from my vehicle

3) Shock sensors....for the bastards that dont know how to parallel park

4) Tilt sensors...incase they wanna steal my shoes...that i dont have yet...

Ok cool so these are so far this is what i need besides all the normal stuff that comes with it. I already have auto start so i dont need that feature. So this is what im looking for so let me know again what systems would be best with these features.
