Routing wire for a hardwire?
Routing wire for a hardwire?
I'm going to hardwire my Radar Detector on friday.
I'm going to put it low on my windshield but I was wondering how did you guys route the power wire back to the fuse box.

That's not a bad way to wire it. You could also tap in the HFL to avoid running the wire all the way across and down. There is a thread here somewhere detailing this.
If you do use the fusebox, make sure to get an Add-A-Fuse instead of just jamming the wire into the fuseblock like that guy did. That way you are absolutely sure you are running a fused circuit.

hmm, I used the same ground as that guide did too. It was a lot easier with the plastic things off lol. I tried hard to do it with it on but I had to take it off when I lost the bolt.
I then routed the wire up and went along the a pillar and along the windshield.
