Replacing footwell lighting '08 TL

so i have seen images that look like a female piece thing then a male piece plugs into that with two wires that lead to a blue led. Could you just cut those wires and put a brighter LED there? i just took off those frosted covers to see if tonight it will be brighter but if not im gonna replace them.

Dude...that's the single most ambiguous question I've seen on the forum to date.

I'd be glad to help, but LMK what you're asking!

Taking off the frosted covers is the best way to help increase the brightness. If it still isn't bright enough, you can try wiring another LED to it.

In short yes, you can undo the two wires to the male connector at the end of the LED harness and put in new wires. I'm not sure of the exact type of LED you would need.

I'm not sure if they would work since LED's can function on different voltages and power depending on what kind it is. I don't know the specs of the factory ones so I doubt you can just plug and chug with any random LED.
