Replace Navi Unit with Tablet/PC/USB/etc?
I have a 2004 Tl with Navi. The navi unit has started throwing errors that the disc can't be read. If I wait long enough (sometimes 10+ minutes), the disc will eventually boot properly. The thing is, I rarely use the NAV. My disc is original and 'good enough'. Heck, most the time I just depend on Google Maps.
So, has anyone figured out a way to replace the Navi input with something else? Or take the complete Navi functionality and port it over to a USB disc or anything with a greater life span? |
Hi welcome
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-a...navigation-94/ literally the first couple threads talks about the most popular mod which is a Nexus 7 tablet. Take a gander around and you'll see there are some other options but the Nexus 7 is the most fleshed out one. |
Yes, that Nexus7 mod is pretty slick, however well above what I was hoping for. I should have been more specific. I was hoping there was an option by now where I could pop my trunk, remove the navi system, and plug up an alternative.

Then you are looking for a navtool
