The HFL is installed in the interior colored housing in the overhead console. Acura sells the HFL already installed in the the housing. The housing is held in place by 4 10-mm bolts. To remove the housing you pull out the moonroof switch/connector (clipped in place) then remove the Map light assembly/connector (also clipped in place). After removing the map light assembly you see the 4 bolts. Remove the bolts and drop the housing. The black box mounted inside is the HFL. Disconnect the 20-pin connector-and reassemble.
If you bought a used/salvaged part-you may not get the right color housing. No problem-as the HFL box is held in place by 3-torx screws and (at least on mine-a wad of velcro). Just remove the old and install the new.
TSB 05-020 and TSB 08-057 have illustrated instruction. Just checked the 3G garage-and the links are not working?
