Still working. I just had to call and ask for the retention department. You have to tell them you got the mailer. I did not need to use the code, but they were pretty insistant on me saying I got the mailer.

Just called today, and activated with the 60 dollar a year promotion. Thanks guys!
BTW, does it activate instantly after calling? I just went to my car and i only get channel 0 and 1 and the 247 channel. |
It does activate right away, but you have to leave the radio on for an hour or two to download whatever it is it needs.
The lady on the phone told me to turn off the radio and then the car teh first time so that it can save everything. I didn't and it still worked. |
WOOHOO! Just saved $60.00 Thanks!
Hey all....promotional code still working on this end of the line as well. Just called XM's main number, gave the promotional code, and I will be set up with it when my 3 month trial period expires in February.
Thanks guys! This web site rocks! |
....does any1 know if this is valid in Canada?
|
just called today
they said i have to wait till my 3 month free-trial is up in February before i can....get the $60.00 offer. Does that sound right to any of you?
thanks |
I jsut called on the 4th time...and finally I got the offer ...."honored". I called my 4 time to get my account access activated. AFter that, I asked if i can take advantage of the WinBack offer / 60/year offer. Gave the XM rep the codes that you guys listed...and woooahlaaaah....
I got the offer....!!! This website rocks....you guys are the best....on info...."good lookin out!!" Tai |
I tried to get this and they told me that they could only give me a month free (because Chrome [83] was replaced with Christmas music).
I told them I wanted the $60 offer, and they wouldn't do it. So they then explained that the offer was only good for "built-in factory units with XM". After getting irate at the moronic ebonics-laden nimwit I cancelled my service. As per my other post I'm now looking into Sirius. XM can go fuck themselves. |
I just called XM for this offer & it worked like a charm. I was already paid up until 2/05 so they extended it until 12/05 for $ 35 (difference from what I have already paid up & the $ 60).
I used the following info to get this deal: XM Radio Promotion (800-998-7900) ZWINBACK MYP1 I talked to a guy named Webster from the Retention Department. A year of XM for only $ 60, not bad. |
haha..2nd time calling..i got a guy on the phone...possibly named chris or something..don't remember...I started off talking about winback code I got in the mail (which I haven't) and said 60 dollars for 12 months..and he said...okay...got my info..and said i'll get an invoice in the mail...awesome...

i didnt have an account, my dealer screwed up when trying to previously sell the car and registerd someone elses info on my radio code, i told them i had the mailer (which i couldnt have due to them not having my name let alone my address), they were a little confused how i got it but gave me the deal anyway, i highly recommend the deal, try it it works
|
turns out the DEALERS are sponsoring this promotion.
|
Worked for me!! I had to talk to two departments and got accidentally hung up on, but all is good now.

thanx to all for providing this info |
It's now Dec 16, and my XM trial period is up on the 28th. Just got done calling XM, and after much conversation with the reluctant lady on the other end, got the $60 deal through 2005. Many thanks to the folks on this board for the encouragement and suggested methods of persuasion. Whooopee!! :scrib: :band: :gheywave:

As per my other post I'm now looking into Sirius. XM can go fuck themselves. Was this comment really necessary? Would a non-ebonics-laden nitwit have made you happier? Perhaps the offer is only for "built-in factory units". |

Dec-17th.....STILL WORKS! $5 a month for 1 yr!!
Just called the number from the dude above! After 2 minutes....BAAAM! Saved $5 a month for the next 12 months. I was already a paying subscriber and they are applying my last payment towards the $60 upfront. Great offer that I would never have found without this website. THANKS ALL! :patriot:
|
got it
just got it today for the 12month $68 w/ taxes.
thanks everyone |
Called the retention number yesterday. Told them my dealer mentioned a $60 deal for a year during a service call (although I really read about it here). They said who...I said Acura...they said OK. Cool.
|
I have one question...I did this offere thing too...but they said they'll send me an invoice in the mail...is this what everyone else went through?

Called the retention number. Told them that I'd gotten an offer in the mail for $60/year. Easy as pie. Will start when my trial ends. They asked if I wanted an invoice or if I wanted to put it on my credit card. I went ahead and charged it to save the $2 (or was it $3?) billing fee. I asked for some kind of confirmation and he gave me his employee ID #.
|
Just called the number mentioned above (800-998-7900), asked for the "Win Back" offer at $60/year, and they said "Okay" with no questions asked. Thanks to everyone who contributed and kept this thread alive!
|
yup still works, I had to conveince them that they offered it to me but I got it done. Came out to be $60 even for a year. What a sweet deal, man I'm pumped. Who ever listed on this good stuff thanks!!!
|
I called the retention number and got an interesting response:
|
Just called and got the deal. They said I would have to call after my trial was over (Jan. 11) or end the trial now and start the $60/yr. deal. So I opted to end the trial since it would be up soon, anyway. I'm good until Dec. 27, 2005. Good deal. Thanks, everyone!
|
Just called the number above and talked to a lady. Mentioned the $60 offer and got it. Asked if it can be billed to my address and she was ok with it. Just one question though: I got a letter in the mail from XM Radio and they said my subscription expired on Dec. 26, 2004. How long does it take for them to turn it off then back on? I just called this morning but still had XM playing.
|
yay they told me i couldnt over lap the trail period. I told them that doesnt make since and just cancel the trail period. She got kind of flustered and gave up and set it up that after the trail period is over my 60 deal kicks in. So mine starts Jan 08. Sometimes you have to tell them no and do it this way.
|
no luck
I've tried 3 times to get the winback promotion, each time being told that I'm not eligible, GM only, blah blah. Any ideas?
|
Forget the winback crap. Just tell them listen, I was informed from my Acura dealer that a promo was available to Acura owners for $60/yr and I would like the same offer. It worked fine for me.
|
Just thought I'd let you all know, I just called and spent a good 5 minutes speaking with Errol, a sales rep. He said that this promotion was created to sign up those exisiting clients that have allowed their 3 month free trial to lapse w/o renewal. Therefore, those of us who are still within our 3 month trial cannot sign up with this promotion. He said that after my 3 month trial is over, I can call back and sign up with the WinBack promotion, if it's still available! I told him that this is ridiculous, and that they are potentially losing a customer by not honoring the promotion. He said that he would honor it now, but I would lose the 2 free months I have left.
I'll call back tonight and try again. |
I just called the number (800-998-7900) and told them my dealer told me about a special $60/year offer and I wanted more information about it. She asked for my phone number and address to verify my account. She then placed me on hold to 'see if I qualified for the program'
When she came back she informed me that I did and asked for a credit card. I asked if she could bill me and she said no problem. note: my XM expired 12/25 and didn't update its settings until 12/27 |
Worked today... They are just going to bill me for the O&A show and my wife's my-Fi quarterly.
|
yes, i just called them, they said the offer is good, but i have to wait for the current 3 month free promotion expires..
|
I just called and they said that that winback code doesnt exist in their databases
