Removing, Head Unit/ Navigation

I dont have the helms manual. I just got the new Blitzsafe adapter, I need to get to the back of the navigation unit to plug it in. I have taken off the 2 carbon fiber strips, removed some screws, but am sure of how exactly this thing is going to come out. If anybody has pictures or some guidance/instructions on the easiest/quickest way to get the head unit out I would appreciate it. The sooner I can get out the sooner I can let you all know if this Adapter actually works.
Thanks

Unfortunately, you have to take off the vents on top of the navi screen. The whole unit pulls off away from the dash. It's actually VERY hard to do. You're supposed to use a Honda tool called a vent puller. I used my fingers. It was hard...

do i just pull on the vents, or is there a twist or something to it. My dad takes cars apart, he works in autobody so he can help with that so nothing gets broken. He just doesnt have time to do the whole thing. Once the vents come off, whats next? Just a brief description of the steps you took would be very helpful.

I just basically pulled hard on the right side of the vents with my fingers and it popped off, then I pulled on the left side of the vents and it popped off. There will be a couple wire harnesses to remove then you can set the vent assembly aside.

Then you undo about 4 screws (can't remember exactly) to remove the head-unit/navigation screen assembly. You don't actually have to unplug all the harnesses back there. Just plug in the AUX adapter in the left-most plug on the head unit with the front of the unit facing you. You'll to unplug the XM harness first. Before screwing it all together, make sure you do some tests.

I have removed the vents, I have undone 4 silver screws, 2 closer to top of HU, and then 2 on the sides by the volume knobs. The HU moves around now but I cannot pull it out. It seems like it is connected at the bottom, where it meets the two small compartments (one has cigarette lighter in it). Help me if you can with this part????? I just need to get that free and i think thats it.
