Remote window roll-up?

Most everyone probably knows that you can roll down your windows and sunroof by holding down the second press of the door unlook button on the remote.

Are you ever in a hurry when getting out of the car and get tired of waiting on the windows and sunroof to close up the car? You might not notice now, but you probably will this summer. A function that would be even sweeter than the remote roll down would be to roll up the windows with a press of the the remote lock button. How often do you really lock the car with the windows down anyway? Okay, maybe a double press of the button incase you want to leave the windows cracked.

Just press 'lock' twice on the remote and walk away would be nice. Anyone have any thoughts about how to make this happen?

Here's another one: Anyone know if we can make both mirrors tilt with reverse rather than having to pick one or the other?

Wow! It's like they were reading my mind. Obviously I'm not the first that would like this feature.
playa4real - Installing the one module in the drivers door will roll-up all 4 windows, correct? Do you know if it will also close the sunroof?

Perfect! This forum is bad ace. I'm def ordering one today. I've only had my TL for a couple of months and I'm already started with the mods. Funny thing is that I've never had a desire to mod a car like I have with the my TL. Thanks playa4real for the link and everyone else on here that makes doing mods enjoyable.

Ya, in theory it shouldn't be that hard to achieve, the TL already has most of that setup. You can close all your windows / sunroof by using the key if you hold it in the lock position of the driver's door.

I bet they didn't set it up to work remotely, because the rear windows are not pressure sensing, so it might be a liability on their hands. Many years ago, a friend of mine had a crappy Mazda that he totally rigged. Had a pc in it, and he took a rain sensor off a benz, rigged it to his little system. and if you flipped a switch, it would close the windows / sunroof if it sensed rain. [he also had a house hold motion detector in it, so if you put your hand in, it would close the windows... which weren't pressure sensing, and it hurt like a @#$@#%#@.

So this wont work on the remote if you push lock twice and hold it the second time? You have to use the key on the driver door?

many other roll-up modules besides KPierson's.... shop and save... they can all be triggered by the lock signal when you use your OEM keyfob to lock the vehicle...

Correct. You have to buy the module and install it in the drivers door. Then the OEM remote will operate the roll-up funtion just like the roll-down. Can't wait to get mine in the mail! Will be great to have this summer.

I know the windows won't roll up stock with two presses of the lock button on the fob. But with this module you are sure it will roll up the windows with two presses of the lock button on the fob?

Yes, I have this module from KP and I love it. It took me about 5 mins to install after I got the door panel off, it was easy! If you press the lock button on your remote once it will lock the doors, if you press it again (right away) it will roll up all windows and close the sunroof. After you install it it will take you a few tries to get the timing correct. You can also use the remote to roll down all windows if you press and hold the unlock button but you do not need the module for this.

hey, what year tl do u need to have for the window roll down (apparently stock) , and does it only work on tl's? because i have an 05 acura tl, and its in the shop, so i tried my acura mdx, same year (05) and it doesnt work, so either it only works on tl's, it doesnt work on 05's, or im doing somthing wrong, write me back, im curious now, lol, ty

it should work on the MDX, it works on the 2004 up TL, and should work on the 05+ MDX. Easy way to try it, take the key and put it in the door. Then unlock. Unlock again and hold it, the windows should roll down.

The only way to make it work with the remote is to buy the add-on module mentioned above. You can tell if the module will work in the car by using the key in the drivers door.
