Remote start Alarm System

I plan on getting remote start alarm system from Viper,
It will come with an app (smart phone) that you cold turn the car on, control the trunk, windows and yada yada yada yada... i'm sure you get the point.

Has anyone done this on their cars, have you had any problems?
I will take it to very well knows shop to get it installed. I want to make sure its professional and presentable and fully working at all times....

Winter on its way

Thanks for any updates.

I bought a 2 way starter for 200$ at bestbuy, it was an amazing deal because it came with full installation, it also included bypass module, and accessory harness and pretty much everything those fancy compustar system come with except for the LCD remote, instead I have a basic 5 button starter, some of those buttons light up with multiple colors, and there is also audio confirmation. What pretty cool is there is already a connector for a smartstart module which basically means if ever I get one, I only have to plug the module, connect to 12V and set up the app and activate mobile network. Are you getting just the smartstart option installed with no alternative 2 way remote or other?

I will have 2 way remote, and mobile app to start the car. But I will also have a alarm on my car, put too much money in to car audio to let it sit there just like that

I have not, or at least I don't recall. Also it wouldn't really matter, I'm sure some people would buy a 2000$ security system on a rusted high mileage car while others that put great time, effort and money wouldn't bother.

Also, having an alarm is great, but a very well thought of kill switch (s) really elevates the saying "sometimes simpler is better" and it's also more secure at a tiny fraction of the price.

Hi, what model of the remote starter did you get? Did you say $200 including the bypass mod. Unbelievable deal!

Curious, if anyone has "made" one of these devices from scratch. Down the Google hole I go!

I'm back, here's some good reads:

I was first thinking like remote triggers:

Or go bluetooth, pretty short range with bluetooth though:

This has to be the calmest guy I've ever watched on YouTube:

EDIT - Damn, recovering from an illness that's apparently affected my head more than I thought, car alarms...lol. Carry on then.
