there are remote starters out ther that can be used with the stock remote.the only promblem with that is the range on the stock remote isnt very long and when the car is running u wont be able to unlock the doors with the remote you will have to turn the remote starter off and then unlock the car or use the key.i hope that helped.

not true, if you wire it correctly you can open and close the doors when the remote start is running. i've installed remote starters on my 05 TL, and my 05 Civic, and both can be unlocked via the remote when you have the car started via the remtoe start

I'm glad my factory fob wasn't hooked up to my starter - the factory remote fob has no range at all. The remote start I have let's me start my car from my desk at work. 3 floors up and the car parked about 6 double rows back in the parking lot.
