not sure how it works since i never subscribed to it but if you have xm radio currently i think its an addition 5 dollars a month for navi traffic. if i remember correctly, its 10 dollars a month w/out xm radio. so call XM and get it added on is what i'm guessing. correct me if im wrong

You purchase NavTraffic subscription from XM... Not worth it. I had it..found it pretty pointless since it does not reroute you but tells you that you are in traffic, well duh, I couldn't tell by moving 5mph for the past 30 minutes.
One advantage, it tells you are sitting in traffic That helps mentally lol.

The traffic is good I think depending on where you live. Where I live, I have about 4 parallel parkways/highways running north-south bound and 3 or 4 runing east-west bound and while I'm on my way to them, I pop up the traffic and take the path of least resistance. It's saved me alot of time from traffic.

You need to make sure your city is one of the 77 that have XM Traffic service before you pay for it. Unless you commute to a city a lot that has xm traffic service then id get it then too.

XM recently expanded on the amount of cities that now have NavTraffic. Kansas City was one of the cities in the expansion. Since I've been waiting for this for 2 year, I like having it now.
