RDS on TL?

Hi, newbie here... just bought an '08 TL after driving a '97 for 12 years and love it! One thing I've not been able to find is if the radio supports RDS (radio data stream - scrolls info on current radio station and programming like song name, artist, etc..). Seems like most new cars have this built in. And there's usually a small "RDS" logo on the radio. Is there something I'm missing on the TL to enable this?? Hard to believe if it's not included on this radio!

You are correct; it is NOT included on your radio. I found it strange also but what can you do? I listen to XM so FM is not that important to me.

man i've been looking for the RDS info too, sucks that they didn't include it... but then again, they even included an outdated cassette tape dock (which i ironically use to hook up my mp3 player)

I also listen to XM now so it's not a major deal either, XM gives you the full 411 on the current song being played.

If you hook up the iSimple and its associated digital radio receiver you can get the RDS data. I know it's not what you are asking but there is a way.
