I tried so many things, its driving me insane. I tried on a BB Bold 9700 and Samsung Impression. The Impression works great on another 2007 TSX, didn't try the 9700.

Any suggestions or things I can try?

 

the best advice i can give is that when the TL is in discovery mode and searches for your phone put your phone in discovery mode and look for the TL.

then when your phone finds the hands free link connect to it with your phone... enter a random 4 digit password to your liking and wait for the TL to ask you for that password.

once you have that done it should be smooth sailing.
this method worked for ALL phones that had bluetooth... i have never failed a bluetooth pairing of a mobile device to my TL.

the problem is i can't get my phone to recognize the hands free link. I have tried it on 2 phones. My phone just searches and finds nothing.

 

Have you checked here for any info on the phones you are trying and the 05?

If they are know to be compatible then you may need to reset the car's HFL.

I've had a similar problem with my RAZR... I got it to work by telling my phone to search for Audio devices during the time it says it is looking for a phone. Hope that helps.

 

when u pair a phone with ur TL, what features u receive? anyone?
like, can u listen to the music that u have on your phone through the TL speakers? what else?

 

I don't know what "u" and "ur" mean, but the HFL lets you use your phone to make phone calls. No more, no less.
