RDS coming soon?
I ran across this article this morning.
Apple files patent for VHF/FM/RDS Wireless iPod Remote for vehicle
It's a bit of a lengthy article with a lot of detail about the patent, but it looks like Acura might have to finally give us RDS if this is to become a reality. Not sure how sound quality will be since it's just an FM modulator.

In context with Apple’s own announcement that they had teamed up with Acura, Audi, Honda and Volkswagen to deliver seamless iPod integration with their car stereos for 2006, I’m sure that part of that statement regarding “seamless integration” involves in-vehicle RDS radios that are “appropriately configured” to work with future RDS based iPods.

Once bluetooth 1.2 becomes more accepted, who knows maybe you'll see an BT 1.2 iPOD and you won't even need to connect wires in your car.
For those who don't know part of the BT 1.2 spec is passing music over BT. Right now the Acura (and most every BT car) is BT 1.1
