Radio Volume

Strange question but does anyone know what the highest number the 3rd Gen TL's stereo volume goes up to?

I've been up to 29, just curious.

I believe it is 40, and I actually wish it would go higher.

40. You can safely test it by muting the radio with the HFL button, and then turn the volume control all the way up.

But that is not as much fun as with the volume on, is it?

Depending on what you're listening to, you don't need to go any higher. The highest I've had it is 30, and that was for a CD that was recorded low (some old stuff from the 70's). It was crystal clear 50 feet from the car (garage to end of driveway). Why would you want to be in the car with anything louder than that?

I use the volume indicator on the Navi unit, and many times have it near the top with a nice DVD-A in.

I have one DVD-A that I have to crank it up to 24 to hear. For the rest of my CDs and XM radio I am usually at 6 or 7...........maybe up to 9 if it's really noisy in traffic.
