Radio Squeal/Interference noise when freezing cold out? Anyone else?

It is freezing out (maybe 20 degrees) and when I first start my 2008 TL the radio puts off a weird low squeal noise. It usually goes away as things warm up if I remember correctly, but I had forgotten about it till I heard it again this morning.

Anyone else hear a low squeal over the radio when its freezing out?

Mine does that as well, it's pretty annoying. I also notice a pinkish tint to my navi while it's warming up, all goes away when it's heated up some.

Last year I brought it to the dealer and of course by the time I was there it stopped so they said everything was normal.

Glad I'm not the only one, lol

Happens to me too, drives me crazy. Has anyone figured out why this is happening? Could it be loose connections somewhere?

pinkish tint is due to LCD screen. Just it's nature

Not sure about the noise though. Wouldn't be able to hear it if I had over my squealing brakes right now lol

Mine goes on for around 5 minutes. I have been keeping the radio off lately until it warms up rather than hear that noise.

I used to notice that it would make the noise on the radio, and then on the Bluetooth too. Must be something with the freezing temp and the cold.

I forgot that last year I had brought the car to the dealer for an oil change and told them about it again so they checked everything and they told me that my Bluetooth device wasn't putting out proper voltage (Or something like that) and they changed it under warranty, think it was a $700+ piece. This year same problem so that definitely wasn't the issue.

As long as it doesn't break I guess I'll live with it if I'm not the only one.

Usually this occurs in cold weather -10 and colder, sign of a design flaw... probably a component or a series of components which do not function properly at that temp... try crancking the amp when this occurs, the components will heat-up and if the squealing sound vanishes, well, there you go, this is why when I bought my 2008 TL the salesman at acura told me the radio system was not covered by the extended warranty... oh well, theres still summer!

It seems to be the factory amp. The replacement of the amp has eliminated the noise for many people.
