So as soon as I fix one issue with this car, another pops up literally the next day...starting to get sick of this since I've had it for exactly a year and have put way more time/effort/money into this car that I thought I would have to for a 35,000 mile car. So yesterday my radio power button stopped working...I have to hit it quickly many times and once in a while it will power on, or power off the radio. Also, my tune scroll wheel stopped working the same time. I'll try and scroll through stations, but it changes the station for every...maybe 2 complete revolutions the wheel makes. Really starting to get pissed off with having to fix something on this car all the time.

Unplugged my battery for 10-15 mins and it's all working perfectly fine now

 

Do you have an ipod adapter or audio adapter hooked up to the car? Has any liquid been spilled on the radio or center console?

 

I do have an isimple unit that stopped working a few months back, but I figured it was because I got an iPhone 4 and the unit had to be updated. This morning my buttons stopped working again btw..grrrr

 

I find the iSimple can cause a little lag in the radio..switching from XM to AM/FM etc. I would not be surprised if that was causing the issues with your controls.

 

what do you mean it stopped working? The car doesn't detect it anymore? Many folks have had issues with an outdated firmware version on the isimple causing issues. Try disconnecting it or updating the firmware or replacing it.

 

It stopped recognizing my iphone randomly (3gs). But it happened right after I updated my iphone software to 4.0. Radio worked fine since then and has only started acting up this week. I'll try taking it out and updating the firmware this weekend.
