Quick Q about Handfree problem

I recently started having problems with my battery dying. Replaced it and after 5 days all is fine.... except for the fact that my radio is asking for a code. I bought the car used and dont know it, Ill call the dealership tomorrow to try and get it but Ive also noticed another problem. The voice that comes on with my handsfree is not working anymore. I tried booting up my cell but only got the messages on the screen, no chick voice. Since the speakers are used with handfree and the radio isnt activated, will putting in my code solve this problem?? Thanks

i was just about to say that without your radio code, the hfl probably won't work. I'm not quite too sure if the dealership carries them on file; have you checked your "acura folder? the black leather pouch that holds all your acura manuals and such?...dealership just placed my code info in that little pouch....? good luck! if you can't find it...you'll be shedding out a few $$$ for a new radio!!! lol in which i HOPE is not the case...

You might be able to get the code from Acura with proof of current ownership.

In addition to checking the owner's manual pouch, also check for a sticker on the side of the glovebox and for a business-card sized card with the codes in the center console compartments and in the spare tire compartment.

If the previous owner entered the code info, it may also be on the acuraownerlink.com site. The dealer should be able to access that if you cannot- then change the info so you can log into it.

Otherwise, you may need the radio serial number for the dealer to pull up the code.

G/L, and welcome to AZ!.

Thanks to all for the replies. I called my Acura dealer and they gave me the code. All they asked was for a 10? digit # that was in the glove compartment and for my DL #. The guy was pretty cool about it. And yes, this did solve my HFL problem. The previous owner did not give me anything so Im screwed there. But thanks to yall, I feel like I have an E-manual at any time Appreciate all the help yall, thanks
