I have a 2005 non-navi TL and was looking on ebay the other day for something and found an OEM Acura navigation unit for a 04-06 TL. It looks to be the same size and should fit into the casing where the non navi controls are right now. The seller claims comes with a wiring harness and should just basically plug in, put the dash and console back together and you're done. Is it really this simple? It sounds too easy to be true, there has got to be a catch.

How much does he want- the trunk dvd driver alone is 5 g's new from acura! plus the screen and wiring ,and then you need a 200 new updated DVD so your house will be on it

You can get a very nice portable like TomTom for 300-500 and have the latest greatest in nav software- the acura nav stuff is pretty lame when you drive anything else!

 

Post the link and lets see what exactly is for sale. If you wanted to do the conversion, you would need the dvd drive, screen, gps antenna, hvac display, radio, and all of the wiring for the system, which is a lot.

 

The TL listing is already gone, but it was from this same seller and the same kit, just for the TL not the TSX

thats the kit you should get, but not the TSX one. Guy is very reputable.

 

go buy a head unit aftermaket. Kenwood is a nice one it can play wav/mp3/vcd/dvd and GPS
