I don't have a clue what you're trying to ask/say but I'm going to try to help you anyway by guessing what it is that you're trying to ask/say as it's late and I'm pretty bored and am up for a challenge.

With my v710's Bluetooth in the 'on' position all day, I can still get 2 days between charges. Some who have measured it have stated that you lose about 20% of the potential standby time by having Bluetooth in the constant 'on' position.

If you live in Miami, you don't want ATT. You want Verizon. Therefore, you also want a v710. Don't know if it looks like a pager thingy my Gansta Nigguh, but if you want Bluetooth in your TL then get a v710.

thanks alot. you got it.. but my question which i think you might of answered it. was... When you are in your car, and blue tooth is on. your cell phone is just sitting there. i mean does it waste same battery life as if i were walking in a mall talking on it, will it be the same as if i am driving and using the cars blue tooth thing... ? so the cell phone is not just sitting there. it has to be on a bluetooth standby you say? hmmm. i have to read my manual i guess. thanks alot

if bluetooth is on, it is using battery power, whether you are on a call or not

you may be able to save more battery power if you can turn off the discovery mode. dunno if it will connect if it's off though. discovery mode is when your cell phone scans the area for any other bluetooth device and it takes a good amount of power. once you have you phone connected, see if you can disable the discovery mode and still be connected to the car. i leave mine on coz i'm too lazy to turn it off . besides that's what car chargers are for

I can get 2-3 days out of my SE 637 with Bluetooth on all the time (but discovery mode off).
I can get 5+ days with Bluetooth turned off.

But if you talk on the phone via the HFL frequently I notice the battery drains a lot faster than if you just talk on the phone the normal way.

bluetooth utilitizes the battery. Why are you choosing such a word as "waste?" For example if I asked you "which phone will you waste your money on?" Of course you're not wasting it because you are using it for a purpose. Choose your words wisely or become subject to ridicule.

you ARE using the phone when you are talking on the TL's Hands Free Link (HFL). You are actually using the phone through the car's speaker, which acts like a headset. But when you make a phone call from the Acura, your phone ACTUALLY DOES make a phone call and you just hear the sound from the car's speakers. So, your battery life will still be the same as if you were using the phone in your hand and talking on it like normal.

Hope this answers your question.

That confused me a bit.

Bottom line is that bluetooth uses a little more extra battery power as cTLgo said earlier. If you leave bluetooth constantly on, you will have less talk time/standby hence battery life.

sorry to have confused you a bit, mobilezen. hey, do you have a link to the new version of TRIPLETS? I think it's either 44R or 45R. I want to flash my phone so the BT connection will work in the TL without the flip needing to be open. Also, will flashing my phone cause me to lose my T-Mobile branding already built into the phone?

Thanks.

There is newer version than 45R out but since my friend is vacationing on Oahu right now, he hasn't gotten back to me. Should be tomorrow. If you want 45R, I have it, just contact me on aim or msn.
