Question about the Audio code

I just purchased an '05 TL Saturday. The dealership only entered the Navi code and not the audio. They said to disconnect the battery to put in the audio code.
Is there an easier way to do this without disconnecting the battery?

Normally you enter both codes after the battery was disconnected for some reason
Some models- the radio security locks right away but the nav holds power for 15 minutes or so

If they failed to do that for you- simply remove the NEG cable from battery, and reinstall
That will make the radio code screen come up for entry

You bought it used at acura dealer- correct?
Go back and make them do it - only takes a minute and your car should have had it working before delievery

Mention you belong to acurazine.com the LARGEST internet forum membership of acura owners- wouldnt they like you to tell us what a great job they did, or should you post- here is the name of a place too stupid to put the code in after battery died from sitting on the sales lot for so long

From a 2 bit operation that doesnt know acuras I would expect this- but an acura dealer!!!!

Make sure you have those codes written down- then join acura.com and store them there for free https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp?brand=acura

Write them in permanent marker under a fuse box cover in the engine compartment- or on the side of the glovebox door- or under the cup holder

Somewhere the next owner can find them!!!
