Hello all, brand new to the forum. Hope I'm in the right spot.

I was checking out DIY mods the other day and really liked the puddle lights and foot well lighting. Since both of these require access/tap into the dome supervision wire i decided to do them at the same time.

I made an initial tap for the foot well lighting and all four came on as expected fading in and out with the dome light. I continued on with the puddle lights tapping into the leading/primary(for the foot wells) wire already tapped into the dome supervision wire. I installed a rocker switch/diode for an always on mode for the puddles and led that negative (puddle) primary through the firewall into the engine bay where it could meet with the positive primary and thus supply both runs of puddles. before hooking up any of my puddle lights i realized that everything abruptly died including my dome light. I used an add-a-fuse to supply the positive power for my foot wells only and supplied the power to the puddles using a direct line from the battery.
Symptoms

-dome light isn't coming on when i open the door/unlock with fab
-Auto down feature for drivers side window only doesn't work. Weird?
-Aside from the foot wells and puddles not working everything else seems normal.

I'm guessing i have a short to ground some where in my foot well wire pathing?
Also, with the auto down feature goofed on my drivers window is it possible that i did something to the micu/ecu?
