Title says it all. Wish there was an alternative. I paid $118 with shipping for the drivers side lower center console mount with adjustable iphone mount with cable attachment. Well it's pretty cheaply made and looks it. Just a heads up before anyone else wastes money on this product. Just leave the iphone/ipod in the cup holder.

 

BigJack does the ProClip not fit and work properly, or is it an aesthetics issue?

 

yeah, proclip looks out of place. i just leave mine in the cup holder.

or you could make a custom one like me. no threadjack! just an example.

It's more of a quality issue. I bought the one that is adjustable because my Iphone has a hard case so it is a little thicker. The adjustable one is just not made that well. They made it way too big. I have a huge space behind the iphone when it is docked. I am sure they did this so the idiots that buy the rubber tire case can still dock their phone. Also for nearly 120 bucks it looks like it has maybe $5 worth or materials. Proclip sure has the market by the balls.

 

I actually like where the proclip mounts. It's just the quality that pisses me off. I use my cup holders for water and beverages daily so there is no way I could give those up.

 

i agree, but that is the reason why you should get specific device holder. My iphone proclip holder is perfect and the quality to me is up to par. although i do lose the case it is something that i came to use the phone without since sooner or later i will develope a scratch on it.

I think my Proclip's are great as well. I live in a pretty harsh climate and these things stand up to sub-zero temperatures. The fit for the various handhelds I have are perfect.
