Problem w/ bluetooth display...

Sometimes when I get in the car and I have bluetooth on I can't change the disp. All it says is "phon", when I press the display button nothing happens.
Don't know what the deal is, but it's really getting old really fast.

I had that happen once. All I did was press the talk button, followed by the back button and everything reset it self fine. It has only happened to me once, so I haven't given it much attention past that...

No Remorse is absolutely right. I started having this problem about 2 months after I got the car and now it happens 2 or 3 times a week. I haven't been able to figure out why. In any event a quick tap on the phone and cancel buttons fixes the problem. I am going to ask about it on my first oil change. There have been a few other threads on this point.

Red face

I second with smoore. This topic is mysterious so far, MID or Bluetooth system are all functionally ok, except this issue.

It's hard to say "normal" on this issue, but you should know you're not alone.

I don't think it is normal for any mechanical device to act awkward. That's like saying "My car drives but sometimes I hear engine knocking. Must be normal." With that said, I think both the hfl and bluetooth phone would be to blame.

Didn't mean to imply that it is behaving the way it was intended, meant to say that is status quo for those phones.

I have a SE T616 and it does that about 50% + the time when I get in the car and start the engine. I have talked to the dealer and seems that they are aware of it and suggest to replace the module in my next service. Hope that will help

When did you purchase your T616? Yeah I agree with the dealer to replace the bluetooth module inside the car before doing anything with the phone. The T616 is my favorite phone to use with the TL thus far.

I have the RIB firmware and now that I think about it, I never had this problem with the R1A software was on my phone. I am wondering if it something in the R1B software?

Hmm...I possibly could be but it also depends on who your service provider is. I have heard that Fido is better than Rogers AT&T up in Canada but that's just coming from my friends up there. The firmware I have for the T616 is also R1B027 but I have a different version for the .arm file and I also have an uncustomization file so that might make the phone behave different.
