I haven't had any problems installing the software. What kind of pc are you running? ram, processor, more than actual brand.

First thing is, don't have anything else running. Do a defrag and a scandisk. Disable the anti virus (sometimes this helps).

I did have a situation where I originally had the ttl installed on a pc where it would take FOREVER to run. I switched to another pc (I've got eight in a house of four people and four of them are mine ;0 ) , anyway the program runs MUCH faster on the second pc, don't know why.

Both pc's are amd 64's with 2 gig of ram, very similar machines.

I noticed this on acura's website, maybe they can help you.

Acura Music Link Adapter (for iPod®)
Questions about the Acura Music Link Adapter (for iPod®)? Contact Customer Service at 1-800-382-2238.

BTW, once you do get it to work, the sound quality is great. The TTS navigation is hit or miss, sometimes it gets right to the song other times not. I chose the musiclink because I was able to blend the cost into the car.

Yeah, it sounds as if you have a Windows PC--not a Music Link--problem. Something on your machine must be in conflict with TTS.

I am not sure. I have installed it properly. I did have Microsoft Dot Net 2.0 and this Musiclink TTS came with 1.1. I uninstalled 2.0 and installed whatever came with TTS but still no use. I called up the customer service, they are U S E L E S S... The guy didn't even know how iPod and Microsoft OS and the software work. Do you guys also have TTS installed with Dot Net 1.1 or do you have a different version. Also can you guys tell me if i am missing something while installing. I just run the setup.exe and it determines that i have dot net installed or not and then it installs 1.1. Any help will be appreciated. Is it also possible for you guys to upload the Installation somewhere on FTP where i can download to see if i have a corrupted CD. I hae tried copying the installation to my hard drive and even that doens't help.

I have a 1.28 Gig Dell Latitude X1 with Centrino and lotsa hard disk space...

Thanks again for the replies

Win XP professional SP2. I have tried so many forums and google. It seems like a .NET problem. Can't figure it out though.

Have you tried to uninstall .net completely and just let tts install it? When I get home I'll see what version I have. I do know I have xp pro sp2.

I have tried everything i could. TTS is just crappy software. ACURA support about it is also crappy. I don't know if there are other TTS softwares available in the market which might help me.

I had a similar problem, not sure what fixed it... but afterwards it takes 3+ hours to process.

I returned my musiclink... probably for a USA SPEC.

It's funny, I have to desktop pc's, both are amd 64's one with a 3700 cpu the other with a 3800 cpu, both have 2 gig of ram. I never had any problems installing the software, BUT when I first ran it on the 3800, it took HOURS to update the acura software, after updating one album, I've got about 7600 songs on my ipod. I move it over to the other pc the 3700 and it takes a couple of minutes to run the acura software. WHY? I don't know. The 3800 is a media center and the other one has xp pro sp2 and I built it myself.

I have to agree the software sucks. BUT you can use the musiclink to shuffle your ipod and if you disconnect the ipod, choose an selection and reconnect it will play that selection.

Does anyone know of any other TTS software for iPod synced up with a windows machine. I have seen couple for MAC but none for windows. TTS still doesn't work. I have tried almost everything a sane mind can think of :-)
