Power wire subwoofer

hey guys so i been pretty much doing a lot of research since im new to all of this audio sutff. So im planning on running the power wire through the rubber gourmet by the left of the brake pedal. i looked at it and im not exactly sure how to fit it through. people have said to stick a screw driver but im afraid to damage any wires. also what guage wire will i need for a 700 watt amp? Also does anyone know how to get the power wire from the rear seat to the trunk. help is much appreciated.
thank you. btw im new to the forums! =D

4gauge wire for power, and you can do 4 or 0 gauge for the ground. i ran my wire along all drive side floor looms. the wire then runs up were inbetween the head rest and the car pillar. there is a peice of foam you can take out, and its a small access to the trunk. from there just look were the top cover is in the truck*were you can access the back speakers, and they should pop out from there.

Yank the grommet and punch the hole outside the engine compartment. You will have to punch through some insulation though to get to the pedal area. Four gauge is fine for power and ground. What amp are you running? If it is class D no need for a cap, if its a JL slash get rid of it and buy a more efficient amp.
