Power seats

Can someone email me Russcim@shaw.ca wiring diagram for 2004 TL Drivers power seat? I am installing it in a jeep and need it to move. Can this be done by just adding power? I got the passenger side working. I am wondering of there is a box under the dash to power the drivers seat. I only got the seats from a wrecker.

There are couple service manuals for TL on this forum.

If you want to keep "stock like" power seat operational, connect all powers and ground on the schematics and seat should move just like it was in the car.

I think power on pins A9 A10 B3 D4 and ground on A20 B7 D1 should be enough. Would be nice if you could seal connectors from the wrecked car as well.

I only have one main connector plug on the seat. One for air bag ? yellow loom, and a small 2 wire one. The main big one only has 9 pins on top with 9 wires, lower side 7 pins and 7 wires. After cutting the connector off the harness, I soldered the 4 black wires together, then added 12 v to the other wires. One allowed the lumbar to work, but no luck on seat tilt or slide. This process worked for the passenger side. hummm

Yellow connector is for airbag for sure.

There should be (most likely black) box under the seat, the "Power seat control unit", that needs to have those powers and ground supplied that I mentioned. See the diagram for powers coming from the fuses to that control unit.

Everything tells me there should be additional connector on that diagram but it's just not listed and I can't find anything.

You can always take a picture of what you have and post it here.

I'm pretty sure that all of those connectors going to that black box will match the schematics, and some of the wires from those connectors go to that gray connector that you cut off.

Open up the plastic tubing between black box and loose wires that you cut and try to match position / color to the posted images.

It's not the first time something is not marked on the diagram.

Oh and if you plan to get seat heaters working as well let me know.

My grey connector has 16 wires. Your connector "A" has 13. I added 12 v to the red/blk wire as per your drawing and no seat movement.

Only some of those wires go to that gray connector that you cut off. Take the plastic tubing off and figure out where those loose cut off wires go. Like I wrote I bet some of them go to connectors that plug in into that black plastic box under the seat.

White/red and white/blue are most important powers. Gry/blue and yellow/green might be needed as well. Also connect all black wires to ground.
